Abstract: |
The aim of the study is to identify factor destemming the flows of foreign direct investment in six west African countries. The study adoptedpaneldata regressionmodel analysis techniques using secondary data. Estimates from the Random Effect Model shows that the major determinants of foreign direct investment flows in the West African countries are market size, resources rent, institutional quality, infrastructure, and trade openness of the economy. Based on these findings, it was therefore recommended that government of the west African countries should invest more in infrastructure development, build effective and efficient institutionsto attract more foreign direct investment. |
